Middle School Students - If you haven't read Touching Spirit Bear and its sequel, Ghost of Spirit Bear, are you in for a great experience! Both books are available in the library and once you pick them up, you are in for the long haul! It's impossible to put them down and when you are done, you want MORE! You might notice that the IB profiles and attitudes are embodied in his characters as they struggle through their life experiences. Author Mikaelsen himself has had an amazing life up and down the hemisphere and currently lives in a log cabin in Montana with a 700-pound black bear (rescued 25 years ago from a research facility) named Buffy. I wish that you could meet him!
